Story of man who changed lives of more than 7,00,000 people

Story of  man who changed lives of more than 7,00,000 people and still continuing …| Mr. Suresh G. Bharwani (Jetking’s Founder)

Suresh G. Bharwani or SGB as he is known among his peers is a visionary in his own rights. Founder and pioneer of leading Computer Hardware and Networking Institute, a public limited company with a leading presence in Indian Computer and Training Market.

“I am Suresh G. Bharwni, Chairman and managing director Jetking Infotrain Ltd. a leading Computer hardware and networkinginstitute in India. If I talk about my family background. I am a son of Refugee family that fled Karachi, Pakistan during partition in 1947. My parents were very prosperous. My father was a freedom fighter, did his LLB in Karachi.”My father valued education. He put me in English Medium School. I failed in 3rd Standard. My father thought I had ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) or I was of Lower IQ. So he shifted me to Sindhi Medium School, my mother tongue. When I went for admission; teachers diagnosed that I lacked “Focus”. They challenged me that if I studied hard enough, stay focused & stood 1st in any of classes till 6th, they will give me a double promotion. My father was delighted because he himself was a very focused person.

After completing my studies, I started Radio manufacturing in my Garage. I focused on making enough money to buy new Factory and House in a short span of 4 years.
Then, we became very ambitious. I lost my focus from Radio, without understanding technology & financial implications, we started manufacturing Television. We lost 3 crores which are equivalent to 30 crores today’s times. We were in deep trouble. We had to pay 1 crore to friends & relatives. 2 crores to banks. We sold all properties & paid hand loans. We owed 1 crore to State Bank of India & 1 core to Canara Bank. Justice Variava of Bombay High Court passed an order to sell off all our assets. I was depressed.
Francis Menezes, Dean of Tata Management Centre, Pune suggested I should go to Vipassana – To see things as they are, to focus on body parts. To have first-hand that body is made of Cells that they both born & die. Success and Failure are two sides of the same coin.
Also, I joined Yoga Centre of Santa Cruz & learned what is Yoga.
YOGASTHAHA KURU KARMANI SANGAM TYAKTVA DHANANJAYA
SIDDHY-ASIDDHOH SAMO’ BHOOTVA SAMATVAM YOGAM UCHYATE
……….Perform action, O Dhananjaya, being fixed in Yoga, renouncing attachments and staying even-minded in successes or failures. Evenness is verily YOGA. These are words of Lord Krishna said on the battlefield of Mahabharata from most revered book for Indians – Geeta.
In 1990, I started with courses in Radio/TV, Software & Hardware Training. Mr. Khan, Owner of my Advertising Agency said, “Are you mad? Do you know what it takes to teach so many courses? Radio/TV is passé, Software is crowded. So focus, focus & focus on emerging trends that is Hardware & Networking”
What is Strategy?
The strategy is to do same things differently than a competitor or do different things altogether. So, we did different things. When everyone was flocking to Software, we altogether started Computer Hardware courses Since then we have trained & placed more than 7 lakhs students.
Equanimity, Focus & Follow through is Soft Power which needs to be developed in
the real world to get Health, Wealth & Happiness.”
